The Tenth Sunday after Trinity - St Bartholomew the Apostle
Aug 24, 2025 • The Rev. Kasey Gage
This homily reflects on the life and example of St. Bartholomew, an apostle remembered more for his faithful anonymity than for personal renown. Drawing on Scripture, it highlights the two great temptations the apostles faced—fear of rejection and pride in their gifts—and how Christ calls his followers to courage, humility, and perseverance. Like Bartholomew, we are reminded that our true joy is not found in earthly recognition, but in the eternal promise that our names are written in heaven.
