“Run the Race with Endurance” Keeping the Faith with the Saints
Drawing from Hebrews 12, this homily reminds us that the Christian life is a race of endurance, surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses the saints who have finished before us. Their example encourages us to persevere despite hardship, to lay aside every sin that hinders, and to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
Even our Lord endured suffering for the joy set before Him, blazing the trail for us to follow. Like St. Paul, may we one day say with confidence, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
