Join Us for Worship
Church of the Holy Communion Cathedral is a family-friendly environment and children are always welcome. We have greeters waiting at our doors to welcome you in and offer you information on our church, including a tour if you desire.
Our worship is liturgical and traditional. Liturgy means the form by which we worship God. Our Liturgy is the historic 1928 Book of Common Prayer. All believers who have been baptized with water in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are invited to receive Holy Communion.
All of our services are open to all members of the family but we do have special provisions for children on Sundays. A nursery is available just next door in Lunt Hall for infants and young children (0-3) for both services. For children ages 4–7, Children’s Chapel is available during the Sermon at the 9:00 am service.
Sunday school is offered for all ages at 10:15 am, but does not meet in the Summer. Children will meet in the classrooms and will be dismissed at 11:00 am. Adults meet in Lunt Hall beginning with a time of fellowship with coffee and a donut. We look forward to meeting you and your family!

Anglican Worship
Holy Communion, sometimes called the Eucharist or the Mass, has been the Church's principal service for nearly 2,000 years. The first part of the liturgy is based upon the synagogue service which the earliest Christians continued to attend after Christ's resurrection. It consists of prayers, scripture readings, and sermon.
The second part involves an act of self-sacrifice. Bread and wine, representing the lives of the people, are placed upon the altar. There they are joined to Christ's absolute act of self-sacrifice and offered up to God. Our lives are then returned to us, imbued with Christ's own life force. His very Body and blood. In so doing the congregation literally fulfills the word of Romans 12:1:

“I appeal to you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”
